Nonprofits, start up businesses and even small to mid-sized companies should not steer clear from tradeshows and business expos strictly because of a lack of a good display. Here are some ideas to make even a bargain basement booth stand out and capture attention:

  • Create a theme. Whether you're touting a product or a service, have your booth reflect a theme. When a central theme is chosen, the entire booth stands out as a cohesive unit. The use of a theme can be effective for a company that wants to display its entire product line or even one that's out to let people know about a single new service. If, for example, you're a nonprofit that helps children with education, set your theme to reflect that. Take lots of pictures of children playing, learning and smiling, and your booth will get the attention it deserves.
  • Use visuals. This can't be stressed enough and with the fact that large pictures are fairly easy to print out on most office computers at a decent quality, there's no reason not to. Experience proves, however, that in common with the other forms of brain-washing and self-hypnosis so prevalent in our modern culture, the illusion doesn't last. What happens in reality always falls far short of the advertised effects.

But, as adults responsible for our own lives, there's another route we can take - an ancient journey that will take us to the fundamental human truths stored in the bone and marrow of our total being. The intangible part of us that we call 'intuition' digs deep into the collective unconscious - the transpersonal source of myth and magical beings, common to all mankind.

Intuition is the royal road that leads to the re-discovery within ourselves of these ancient images. These inner figures are not arbitrary figments of the personal imagination, but are universal in scope, ranging across cultures, individuals, and historical periods. Not only does the subjective content they represent have meaning, but it also has reality. The human psyche, even though it is intangible, is, like nature, a given - a thing-in-itself.

The ability to be who we really are - to act intuitively from our true centre - is the greatest gift we can give ourselves. To get in touch with our authentic being is to recognise our real needs and desires and to be able to express them to others. Once we widen the horizon of our consciousness and develop our intuitive potential, we find ourselves with the ability to know and express ourselves and to communicate much more effectively. Our material, career and personal achievements are much more likely to become 'realised', in the true sense of the word.

The unitive approach to life coaching can lead to a total awareness of the underlying truth of what's really happening at any given moment. It demonstrates how you can transcend an out-dated, problematic way of living. It facilitates an awareness of those previously unexamined, habitual patterns of self-denial that have distanced you from your instinctive survival mechanisms and prevented you from effectively responding to events in the present, By focusing the light of consciousness on that which you were previously unaware, it will open up your way towards a lasting sense of individual wholeness.

The waste paper bales or pulp bales are fed in via a conveyor to the pulper and repulped by adding process water Water is added for slushing and the whole content is agitated to make pulp from the waste paper. The pulp is taken to the decker drum for increasing the consistency of the pulp and subsequently stored in the Chest. Alum, rosin and other additives are added at this stage and then it goes to the paper machine. The pulp from this chest is pumped through a single disc refiner and stored in the machine chest. Now this pulp goes to a three stage centri-cleaner to remove the knots and other impurities.

The paper machine has 3 principal stages: Headbox, the heart of the paper machine. After dilution and screening in the approach flow the suspension consisting of fibres, additives and water must be fed uniformly in web width to the screen part of the paper machine. For this it is pumped to the headbox via a tapered manifold flowspreader as well as several pipe manifolds. Pressure and speed must be constant in these areas.

i) The gravitational and vacuum de-watering stage i.e. Wire pit - here pulp is fed at a consistency of around 0.7% and when the paper goes out of this stage the consistency becomes around 20%.
ii) The mechanical de-watering stage. i.e. Press Section - Here the paper with 20%consistency (80% moisture) is squeezed through a set of press rolls (having 2 rolls in each set) to get 35% consistency paper (65% moisture).
iii) The final moisture content of the paper rolled on to the pop-reel is around 5- 6%. The paper from the pop-reel goes to the rewinder for making reels in required sizes and then it goes to despatch Section.

This will finally result in business failure when a competitor goes for maximum satisfaction.

Other advice is about creating so-called WOW experiences. Giving the customer such a nice time, extremely caring support and delivering more then expected. This is also held back in many companies as being to expensive or to difficult.

The opposite is true actually, whether it is about customer serving or WOW experiences. In fact, experience has proven that it actually keeps customers with you for a much longer period and they also increase in worth with at least 150%

A simple Satisfaction & Profit Building System is the following, which after being implemented resulted in an increase of 70% in customer life and 162% average customer worth. The cost: a few hours of implementation, an hour a week to run the system and almost zero setup costs.

1. The customer nowadays has a lot of options to choose from. However they don't know their own criteria and simple don't know how to decide. Take them by the hand and teach them exactly how (not who) they should choose. Act as their trusted friend, not as the know-it-al or market leader, you'll regret that.

2. After you got them to choose for you and got your first sale, immediately inquire about their other problems and questions. See what other services and product they can use to solve other problems.

Offer them the services or products that can solve their problems immediately when you discovered his problems. But don't haste yourself, you should still make a good impression and sell them well.

3. Rinse and repeat until you solved all the problems you can possibly solve. Also do client satisfaction survey's at this point, asking customers about how they liked the solution you offered and if they still got some questions or small problems. Offer solutions for that too - think back-end products.

4. If you can't solve their problems, look in your rolodex or network for someone who can. Refer your customer to them and later call the company or person to let them know you referred them. Or, let your customer tell them you referred them. Most of the time you'll get a present or commission. If you don't, no worries since your client is satisfied and will stay with you longer.

5. After every possible problem within your expertise or closely to it is solved, find other common problems your customers have. For example a moving company can refer their customers to furniture stores, plumbing and technical services etc. Your customer has moved to a new city and might want new furniture. Plus they don't know the best plumber, the best handyman, the best gardener. Why don't you tell them and get a nice commission?

One of the most pleasing ways to personalize an apron that you have either bought or made is to embroider it. There are many different ways that you can embroider an apron and many different designs you can choose from.

Probably one of the most important things to remember when choosing threads to use for embroidery is to consider what the apron is going to be used for. If the apron will require frequent washing, then choose threads that will not fade as quickly and remain colorfast, therefore will remain bright in color and minimize the chances of color running into the fabric of the apron.

Once the threads have been established, then you can look for an interesting and appropriate pattern to use for your embroidery project. There are many places to look for these and one of the easiest methods to use here is the iron-on pattern. You can also trace a pattern onto the fabric or draw with pencil the outline of what you would like to embellish. You could also perhaps consider some cross stitch which is done on another material and then apply this to the pattern once finished like an appliqué.

Even to put your name onto the pocket is a quaint way to personalize your apron. Another method could be to embroider the edges of the apron. You can use a brightly colored yarn to do a blanket stitch around the edge of hems, pockets, tie-backs or sleeve edges. This could be color coordinated with the fabric itself or with anything else that is embroidered onto the apron.

Embroidered aprons also make unusual and charming gifts. Whatever the skill level you have, you can either make or buy an apron and embroider it to suit a friend, mother, daughter or other lucky female in your life.

From a business standpoint the embroidered apron can enhance status in front of the customer by showing off the company name or logo. This is commonly done and only costs a little more to include the embroidery when making the initial apron purchase.

This method of advertising your business name on the apron can be beneficial in terms of tax minimalization. In most countries the placing of the business name on the work uniform will allow the company to claim reductions in tax from the rebates available, of course this does not cover all countries and states but you will find most do allow this legitimate form of tax reduction. Also the employee may be able to claim a rebate for their tax return from the laundering of work related uniforms, which in this case is the apron with an embroidered logo or name on it.

So as you can see there are many ways to use embroidery on an apron to enhance the visual appeal as well as improve the marketing aspects of the business. And don’t forget the tax implications also; why not take advantage of these enhancements whatever your motivation.

Success can be defined on so many different levels, but I’m talking about the men and women who revolutionize industries and changed the way people live. These entrepreneurs are V.I.P.E.R.S. and here are their traits:

Vision – This is where it all starts those people who have started companies and revolutionized society as we know it are people of great vision. They see what others don’t; to them the only end is infinity. Roadblocks are merely opportunities for them to fly over at breakneck speed on the way to fulfilling the vision that drives them.

Innovation – A rolling stone gathers no moss, and V.I.P.E.R.S. never stop creating change. They stay ahead of change, they are the change makers. Have you ever wondered why Microsoft® has its corporate paws into seemingly everything? Or why Virgin® has over 200 companies and is still growing? Companies and entrepreneurs that do not innovate, change, adapt, and lead the way get left behind to gather the crumbs that fall from the table. There is a concept called risk/return ratio, the more risk one takes the greater the reward should be for that risk. V.I.P.E.R.S understand this concept and are willing to take on the risk because they have their eyes fixed on the reward.

Spirit – It is an entrepreneurial spirit that encompasses everything, it changes the way they act, think, speak, and work. The spirit of the V.I.P.E.R.S is the fluid that brings and binds all of the above characteristics together, singly the characteristics work, but only when bound by the entrepreneurial spirit can bring about greatness.

There are caveats to each of these traits, there needs to be a balance between them all. There can be too much of one thing (too much innovation can fail, New Coke® anyone?) and that can bring about a failure in the entire system. Another caveat is that the traits cannot be taught, they have to be caught by other V.I.P.E.R.S or you have to be born that way. So the question that begs to be asked is this, are you one of the V.I.P.E.R.S. and if not do you have what it takes to become one?
