Effective Marketing: Reaching Clients With Cross Promotion

Description:

Explore the bonuses of cross promotion. Cross promotion is a specific marketing tactic wherein two or more businesses team up together to reach a broader shared population. Possibly a radio station pairs with an organization for a certain benefit. Maybe a beverage company joins with a water park for a summer discount special. It could involve a school system working with several local restaurants for an event. Cross promotion involves taking time to analyze customers, their needs, and values. When incorporated effectively, cross promotion is a win-win deal for the organizations and the customers.

There are several benefits associated with cross promotion. Consider the following:

 Cross promotion broadens your clientele base. By teaming up with another business, you are able to reach a wider variety of customers in places you might not have otherwise. You can connect with more people. You reach more potential clients by working with others who are contacting the same groups of people. If they were not previously your customers, they could be with this venture in the very near future.

 Cross promotion saves you time. When both members of the cross promotion effort are doing their part, more people are reached more quickly.

 It saves money. Both businesses get more with cross promotion. When marketing in conjunction with another partner, your company splits the expenses and responsibilities. Sharing the costs is a major component.

 The advertising exposure is increased. If the owner of a dry-cleaning business collaborates with a local formal wear business, each individual company is advertising for both parties at once.

 Cross promotions stand out. These types of advertisements are more eye catching and unusual than the typical promotions. Indeed, customers are interested in discovering the benefits of both businesses and determining who is involved.

 It builds credibility. Having another business represent you and advertise next to your company enhances your reputation. It is equal to another company vouching for you.

 Cross promotion fuels creativity. Working with a partner aids the invention process for new ideas on ads, promotional products, and special offers. Adding another party to the equation makes it more interesting anyway, and if themes or other specialties are present, the planning can be taken to new levels.

While the outcome of such an endeavor can be exciting for a business, be sure that you are effectively employing cross promotion techniques. Familiarize yourself and your company with the following important principles regarding cross promotion.

 Research your target audience. What demographics are you working with? Do you want to reach families? Working women? College students? New mothers? Retired persons? Concentrate on the values, needs, and desires of the population and brainstorm the best ways to reach such groups.

 What types of businesses or organizations would likely complement your efforts? Are there organizations that are better suited to reach a certain population than others?

 Begin with a smaller effort that requires little risk. For your first cross promotion, foster those friendly ties with the other business by choosing an inexpensive and easy initial project. Learn from the beginning experiences and grow from there.

 Consider multiple members for a cross promotion strategy. While only two groups are required, having a number of businesses included can increase the benefits, word of mouth response from the public, savings for clients, revenue for companies, and overall excitement.

 The planning process should be detailed and thorough. Ensure that all participants have clear goals that they have communicated. Discuss costs in detail as well as what is required of all involved. Maintain that all responsibilities are adequately communicated.

 Follow through. Be sure that both businesses honor the agreed upon circumstances set by the groups involved.

 Show gratitude to all that participate. This includes clients, the organizations sponsoring the advertising campaign, staff, and other business who contributed services.

 End the cross promotion experience by assessing and evaluating the effort. What worked? What could be improved? How could the next event be even better? What did clients enjoy? What feedback did business receive? Make notes and incorporate the findings for an even more successful cross promotion affair in the future.

Cross promotion marketing can be exciting for all of those involved. It can spice up a weary advertising routine. It can really show support for important causes and worthy benefits, especially in small communities. Cross promotion involves considering customers, their needs, and values. When incorporated effectively, cross promotion can truly be a benefit for the organizations and the customer.

Keep in mind that most bidding sites are known for there notoriously low prices. This is due to the fact that many service providers are willing to offer rock bottom prices. Still, there is no harm in getting a couple of low paying projects just to get you started and add some credentials.

In addition to web designing, there are hundreds of other online work at home business opportunities out there. Just go to your favorite search engine and type in some keywords in what you are interested in. One of the most popular online work at home business's is Network Marketing. Unlike web designing, network marketing does not need a lot of technical knowledge and creativity. All you need to do with network marketing is to log on to their website, register as a member, buy some of their products and then invite friends to join in. The more friends you invite to join in the network marketing business, the bigger income you will get in terms of commissions. The good thing about network marketing is that you don't only earn commissions on the purchases of your direct recruits. You also earn commissions on the purchases of your recruits recruit usually up to the 4th level. Now that is really an interesting online work at home business opportunity.

Raising Extra Money for Christmas Using eBay

Description:

Christmas is a wonderful time of year, but it can also be a very stressful one if you lack the funds to provide your friends and family with all the gifts they so desperately desire. This article will provide you with 5 fantastic ways to raise that much needed cash and have the perfect family Christmas.

Content:

EBay and Christmas time goes together like a hand and a glove. EBay is perfect for finding great gift ideas for your family and for your friends and it's even better for selling that knitted sweatshirt your auntie bought for you. The truth is you can buy and sell anything you want on eBay and you could potentially do all of your Christmas shopping and "post Christmas" selling using only the world's greatest online auction site.

What many people don't know however is that you can also use eBay to raise a tidy sum to fund your Christmas spending extravaganza. Christmas is a fantastic time of year, and while money does not make or break Christmas, it sure can help reduce stress in the run-up. This article plans to provide you with as many ways as possible to raise some extra Christmas money so you can buy that great gift for your son, your daughter or your wife.

Raising money for Christmas using eBay – Method #1

This is perhaps the easiest and most obvious way, yet many people forget to use this method when they need a little extra cash to see them through a stressful time.

All it involves is selling your unwanted items that you have at home. It's a method I have personally used on many occasions. It is estimated that each homeowner has at least $1000 worth of unwanted items at home that they could sell, but I'm sure if you dig a little deeper then you could find thousands of dollars worth of items.

You could sell that TV that no one uses, that PlayStation 2 that your son got bored of after just a week, all those PlayStation games that are never used, those antiques that simply sit in a cupboard being no good to anyone and just collecting dust, those DVD's that you've seen 1000 times before and are sick to death of. If you walk around your house now and took stock of everything you could potentially sell, I'm sure you could easily do without at least $1000 worth of items.

Find those items, sell them on eBay and spend the profits on your loved ones.

Raising money for Christmas using eBay – Method #2

The above method is probably the easiest method of money raising for Christmas, however this one comes close. It's a method I am currently using to great effect. All it involves is selling other people's stuff and keeping a per cent of the profits. To do this you need to team up with a friend or family member, or you could pursue this on a wider scale by teaming up with a local business.

If you have any technophobes in your family who can't even find the "On" button on their PC, then they are the perfect people to team up with. (It also helps if they have a lot of great stuff to sell as well.) All you have to do is ask them if they have anything they could do without or would like to sell and if they do, would they like you to sell the items for them in exchange for a commission. If they agree, then negotiate the commission, sell their items, send their items to the winning buyers, give them their money and take your commission.

Teaming up with local businesses is also a great way to profit from consignment selling on eBay. I'm sure there are plenty of local businesses struggling to sell their stock and would love to be able to sell it online but just don't know how to. Contact these business owners and offer them the perfect solution: you sell all the stock they would be unable to sell without your help, they take the majority of the money, still make a profit on their items and do absolutely no work!

Raising money for Christmas using eBay – Method #3

Despite what many say, selling eBooks on eBay still can be a profitable business if it's done in a creative way. This method involves you selling a package of eBooks at a high price or small and cheap reports for a small price but for backend profits.

To sell a package of eBooks at a high price, you first need to locate high quality eBooks and software. If you are like me then you probably have hundreds of megabytes of eProducts on your computer somewhere. What you need to do is find a number of products in the same "niche" that are of a high quality, bundle them together and write a sales letter.

For example, you could create a package about adsense. For this you could add a few eBooks about making money with adsense, include some software to make adsense websites, include some private label articles to use as adsense content, include some website templates to add the content to and you could also include some ready made adsense websites.

Once all of that is done, create a sales page outlining exactly what the customer will receive and how it will benefit them and list it on eBay. Sell it for $10 to $50 depending on the quality and if you just sell five or six a week, then you have created a nice bit of extra money to fund your Christmas adventures :)

The second method of making money using eBooks and eBay is to create a short 8-12 page mini-eBook which you sell on eBay for $0.01 to $1 and then follow up with your buyer about a related affiliate product.

All you have to do is find a niche affiliate product you would like to promote, write a short report related to that affiliate product, include affiliate links in the report and sell it on eBay very cheaply.

This way there is a chance that a customer who buys the report for $1, then goes onto buy the affiliate product and you take a commission, usually around $30. You could easily sell 50-250 reports per week on eBay (depending on the price) and if only 2% of people buy the affiliate product, that is 1-5 affiliate sales.

Raising money for Christmas using eBay – Method #4

This method probably involves the most work and you really only need to do it if you are desperate for cash. It involves selling your skills. You list an eBay auction saying something like "I will write a unique 500 word article for the winning buyer for $X"

You could also write eBooks for customers, create graphics for customers, design websites and there are many more services you can sell. You will need to work hard for this method but it is excellent if you are severely strapped for cash.

Raising money for Christmas using eBay – Method #5

This is certainly the most creative idea and the only one I have not yet done. For this method you need to use your imagination and not everyone will be able to perform this activity. It involves taking advantage of the Christmas season and is perfect for our objective and I imagine really good fun in the process.

You could do one of two things (or both).

You could create a mystery auction where you wrap up something of value into a gift and then list it on eBay, not revealing what is wrapped up inside. These types of auctions create great interest and the bidding usually soars, you could easily take advantage of that.

Method two involves writing custom Santa letters. You simply list an item on eBay explaining that you will write a custom letter from Santa and send it to the buyer. You could sell this for $20 a time and you would probably be flooded with buyers at this stage in the year. All you have to do is create a well designed letter, fill it with the winning buyers chosen words and send it to their chosen address. It's an excellent gift for their kids and many people would be prepared to pay for this service.

Affiliate Project X is not an all inclusive Internet marketing how-to, it’s not even an all inclusive affiliate marketing how-to. As with his first product, the author Chris has written Affiliate Project X for a very targeted audience. This book was written for affiliates who have been playing the game and losing (much as Chris himself was just a few months back). They’ve bought e-books and courses, followed all the steps to a tee, and haven’t made a red cent. This is because they are largely mis-informed about everything. The super affiliates, after all, have been keeping their best methods to themselves, and it’s costing many people a lot of money. Chris calls Affiliate Project X his “getting even” product. He’s mad about all those months he spent chasing red herrings due to mis-information from the gurus, and now that he’s had a chance to mingle with them and steal their techniques, he’s written Affiliate Project X.

"make extra money online"
http://www.theprojectx.tk

Affiliate Project X is a well-written e-book that offers up six methods that can really get your sales going strong. It's not a rehash of stuff that you can learn by spending time in forums. It's not an e-book that's been "inflated" by a lot of white space. There are 71 pages, and each page is packed with information. Each method is laid out in a step-by-step manner, so you have a blueprint to follow. The methods are adaptable to different products, and you do not have to become an Adwords/PPC expert to reap the full benefits. The Advanced Trick section of Affiliate Project X is kind of a bonus information section. It also points you to a free way of implementing one of the advanced tricks, saving you money you otherwise would have spent to get the official software product.

"make extra money online"
http://www.theprojectx.tk

I'd say that the least adaptable method is 'The Opportunist', but the basis of the idea is usable - for example, one thought for using this technique to market physical products is to get to know your affiliate manager. Having said that, though, I should emphasize that Affiliate Project X is focused on selling info-products. The methods outlined work best for info-products, and if you're not currently selling very many Clickbank products, you will come away from Affiliate Project X with lots of ideas for incorporating Clickbank products into your affiliate product portfolio.

"make extra money online"
http://www.theprojectx.tk

Affiliate Project X won't take you through the nuances of using these tactics to market non info-products - you'll have to come up with these on your own. But if you're currently an affiliate marketer for physical products, and you know your market and your particular niches, then you should be able to tailor most of these methods to suit your particular niche.

"make extra money online"
http://www.theprojectx.tk

Affiliate Project X includes methods which don't require the use of PPC to market your product. And while some of the methods do include using Adwords as part of the process, PPC campaigns are not the basis of these methods.

"make extra money online"
http://www.theprojectx.tk

You can definitely use other non PPC methods of getting traffic and still implement these same methods. And Chris also outlines two non-PPC methods for getting traffic in Affiliate Project x. One is the 'Workhorse' method. The other is one of his tips in the Advanced Tricks section.

Will Affiliate Project X give me that six-figure annual income? As with everything else, you have to take action once you've learned the methods set out in Affiliate Project X. But I'd say that the methods outlined in Affiliate Project X are very powerful methods that do have the potential of increasing the income from your affiliate marketing efforts. At the very least, if you commit to using some of these methods, you should see an increase in your sales. But you do need to know the basics or be willing to learn the basics of affiliate marketing, and you do need to take action and commit to implementing what you've learned.

And if you've ever wondered how to pick a Clickbank product to promote, you'll enjoy the product selection techniques that are outlined in Methods 4 to 6 of Affiliate Project X. Picking the right product to promote plays a huge role in affiliate marketing, and I would say these techniques alone are worth the price of the book.

For the frugal affiliate marketer, there’s “The Workhorse.” This method is slow, time-consuming, and boring, but it is free. Basically, it’s a variation on article marketing, but unlike traditional article marketing, this is not an SEO technique. This is an affiliate marketing technique, and there are some key differences between it and the traditional SEO version.

“Thief in the Night”, this is a great technique for finding out what products are making other affiliates lots of money, so you can copy them and even out do them. I have the feeling, though, that when this technique becomes popular, it won’t be so effective, so you’d do well to read about it now.

Affiliate Project X also includes some updated versions of techniques from AdWords Miracle (authors other e-book) the “Rising Star” and “Copy the Best” methods, plus an advanced techniques section that covers things like link cloaking and tracking your affiliate commissions (in my opinion essential for long-term success as an affiliate).

Another small thing, one of the techniques in Affiliate Project X requires you to have Keyword Elite. Now, Keyword Elite is an excellent program, one that I use myself, and a good investment for any Internet marketer, but this is another case of buying a product only to be told to buy another one. I don’t like that. To be fair, though, this technique can be used, albeit in a limited way, without Keyword Elite. But it would be such a time consuming process, most people wouldn’t bother, for newbie's though this process will teach them 'hands on' keyword research.

In the end, though, these techniques are sure to open some eyes (and annoy the super affiliates from which they were “borrowed”). Will it blow the lid off the whole thing? I don’t know, but it certainly seems to be living up to the hype so far, Affiliate Project X has broken the ClickBank record for sales in a day, and everyone and his mother are promoting the thing. More importantly though, will it make you any money? If you follow Chris’s step-by-step instructions for even one of these methods, I’d say the chances are good.

And if you are like the majority of people, the main problem that you are running into is probably financial. People that want to start a business usually want to do so with the least amount of money as possible. This is understandable; after all, if the business ends up flopping you will be out all of the money that you put up to get things started.

The good news is that there are options available to anybody that wants to start an affordable internet business. With the increased amount of people that want to own their own business, the market for finding a business that is not going to break the bank is growing every day.

When looking for an affordable internet business, you will first need to find out what you are good at. This will allow you to narrow your choices down to jobs that you would enjoy doing, as well as a company that you can make successful.

One of the most popular internet businesses today has to do with opening up a store front online. Even though this may sound expensive, it can actually be done on a relatively cheap budget. The first thing that you will need is a computer. This will be the tool that runs your business; which is pretty much the same as every company in today's day and age. Also, in order to run an internet based store you are going to have to have a website where you can sell your products. You can hire a professional web designer to do this for you, and by shopping around you will surely be able to find somebody that will be able to work within your budget. And finally, what would a store be if you did not have anything to sell? This is where you will have to make a decision. You can buy products wholesale, and mark them up to make a profit, or you can manufacture your own goods. If you are looking for the most affordable internet business you will probably be best off getting set up with a wholesaler.

Another affordable internet business that people are taking up in masses are ones that sell information products. Again, you will need a website as well as products to sell. The most popular types of information products include books, ebooks, dvds, cds, tapes, and others. Getting set up with a wholesaler, or buying your products at discounts at other venues is your best bet.

Overall, anybody can find an affordable internet business. All you need to do is determine your budget, and find out what you would like to do.

Internet Marketing’s Three Secrets to Successful Selling

You don’t really need to go through complicated processes just to sell successfully. Neither would you need to earn a degree in some prestigious university or go through some nerve-wracking thinking just to grasp the idea.

Further simplified, selling successfully is comprised of three basic steps. And you will actually realize that you won’t even need something that you don’t already have if you intend to do this. You can easily apply this even as you are reading this material.

Secret Number One: TTP or Talk to People

Talk to people. That’s the first step. This is where you bring your products. They will be the ones to judge and purchase your products, or possibly bring constructive criticism to it. Of course, we can’t dispel positive criticism but we are also more inclined to seek income and people who will actually dig our products and buy them.

No matter how promising your product is or how good your website looks, you still won’t get a sale unless you do some talking. Talking does not have to be face to face. Given our technology, there are just various ways to reach to people from across the globe. Talking to people has never been easier. So go ahead and do it.

Secret Number Two: TTMP or Talk to More People

That’s right. You may have imagined yourself chilling out and sipping pina coladas in the beach after you have done major talking to people as you build your network. Au contraire (on the contrary), you must talk to more people even when you have a base network built up. You will continually need to link up and meet more people. After all, this is what your business.

If in step one, your goal is to build a network from which you are to sell, your main goal in step two is to expand and replenish that built network you acquired from step two. You never stop growing and improving. You will never get anywhere if you isolate yourself.

Secret Number Three: TTEMP or Talk to Even More People

In step one, you talked to people to build your network and establish yourself. In step two, you talked to more people because you need to expand and replenish the network that you have built in step one.

In step three, now that you already have an expanded network and you have been able to establish yourself, talking to even more people is done to further augment your business- make it a legend if possible, or at least, lead you to higher and higher levels of Internet marketing.

These three steps can actually be rolled in a single step that you can do continually: talk to people. Communicate, interact, sell and be very enthusiastic while you do it. Also, remember that it is lifelong process.

For as long as you are in the selling business, you will be required to talk to people. And it gets easier over time. This is something that comes as a free bonus or benefit.

Five Sure-Fire Tips For Writing A Winning Resume

Resume writing can be a real task for anyone, even if you have several years of experience in your job. Resume writing is in part an art, but mainly it is a science that plays upon the psyche of the reader. Leaving your resume written unscientifically will jeopardize your job prospects. There are many professional resume writing services available both on the Internet and probably in your town. But if you want to do it yourself, here are the sure-fire tips that will definitely make your resume better:

Five Tips to Write Your Resume

1. Plan your resume to target the industry in general and the interviewer in particular. Doing this quickly brings the focus to:

a. Your Qualifications Summary: Be practical with this part; avoid making goal statements because they may be out of line with a particular company's positional standpoint. Also, don't get your personal goals and qualifications mixed up; this section is about your qualifications, it should stay away from any statement about your personal goals. This may seem obvious, but it is a mistake that is often made.

b. The Goal Statement: This is the section for your statement on the goals you want to achieve. Here again, avoid mistakes like ‘... to serve the organization as long as possible and grow to greater heights'. The reality is, your employment's longevity is riddled with many practicalities and ever-changing market dynamics.

c. Your Salary Expectations: Your resume is not the place to have this discussion. Unless, of course, you want to torpedo your chances of either getting the job or getting a higher salary. Leave this section for oral negotiation.

2. Never write vague descriptions like ‘10 years experience in store management'. Instead, explain what and how you did in stores. A chemical store and an engineering materials store differ hugely in functionality. A description that applies to the former will not to the latter. Just like you were selling something (and you are!), it is better to be specific. Apply this principle to your specific career.

3. Your experiences are not true testimonies of your abilities until you make them link together. How do you do this? By highlighting verifiable and practical justifications. What you talk about in the interview must match the highlighted strengths on your resume. If they do not, you'll just raise red flags.

4. Letting typos, grammar errors creep in suggests an unorganized character and uneducated behavior. It might not be fair, but that's the way it is. Since your resume is in fact, your advocate, you must get the most mileage out of it by having it edited or proofread by others, if you can't do it yourself for some reason. Do it twice or three times if necessary, but get the job done to perfection.

5. If you are a fresh grad, a new set of rules apply to you. As you can't possibly be show extensive work experience, you need to highlight your educational achievements and extracurricular activities, in place of the experience and accomplishment sections. You can use this to your advantage by reflecting on your leadership skills- for example, if you were a football team captain, organizational skills and accomplishments- or if you were an editor of your school magazine, your meticulous attention to detail.

The way you write your resume can either make or break your job candidacy. Also, if your resume will be posted on the Internet on some of the popular job boards, this means that it will be visible by nearly everyone. Not writing your resume properly, then, has the potential to sink your job prospects entirely. Don't let this happen to you.

By following the resume writing tips above, you will position yourself as a strong candidate and make your resume stand out from the crowd.

Blizzard and World of Warcraft Gold Sellers

Description:

Why is Blizzard so against players selling their hard earned World of Warcraft gold? Read more on our discussion of Blizards point of view relating to the secondary market.

Content:

Many World of Warcraft players today likes to buy WoW gold, items, accounts and power leveling sessions, but blizzard along with other players consider this an act of cheating. Well, you have the ability to enhance your character to a much higher level or better quality items, weapons, armors and other equipment with real money. It's unfair for those players who does not have the extra cash to spare or would prefer to play it the old fashion way. But for example, we all know what Nintendo is right? Well when game shark came out did Nintendo try to stop or prevent them from selling? No, they didn't. But of course, for those who chose to cheat the game was not required to play with others that didn't want to cheat. So that is one conclusion as to why players and Blizzard does not approve of selling or buying gold.

Disruption from Warcraft gold farmers. Yes I'm sure we've all experienced that farming now a days have been a little difficult due to the overwhelming population of WoW gold farmers. If gold wasn't able to be sold using real money the farmers wouldn't exist and players would probably be able to enjoy the game more. Perhaps blizzard should enforce a law to farming? Or allow players to tag a mob and allow them preparation time to kill the mob they were targeting? Well, Blizzard is not a government and even if so, the government today isn't perfect either.

Another reason why I can understand players hate the idea of buying/selling gold is because it disrupts the economy. If there is excess gold, then the value of gold drops and the value of the item will rise causing players to spend more gold on the item than what they would normally need to pay. Basic economics 101, inflation and deflation. A player can only farm an X amount of gold over a given period of time. The more gold there is, the more the item will cost, the more a player will have to farm unless they purchase the gold of course.

Well with all these problems involving selling gold, why hasn't Blizzard done something? I believe they probably are working on a solution but believe it not, farmers do make up about 30% of their population. Somewhere in the back of their mind I'm sure they don't want to get rid of all subscribers. What they do instead is ban a few at a time and they would be required to buy a new world of warcraft cd key. Extra cash flow for the mighty O Blizzard. Yes farmers and sellers do get their accounts banned. But have not heard of any buyers getting banned however. Lucky for us?

As some of you may know, another popular mmorpg publisher is Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) with their many leading titles including the first MMORPG hit EverQuest, Star Wars Galaxies, and EverQuest 2. Why am I bringing up SOE? Because they have introduced the Sony Exchange. The Sony Exchange is a secure market place for players to auction their currencies and items to other players for real cash. In return SOE of course takes in a small fee for themselves. Charming isn't it? Well along with this new innovative idea, they also of plans of releasing a new game where they will be selling currencies and items themselves. That pretty much just beats the second paragraph of not cheating. But of course I'm sure they will create specific servers where the purchasing/selling of virtual assets will not be allowed.

If SOE is getting into the secondary market why can't the players? I do wonder if Blizzard should decide to get into the secondary market themselves. Believe it or not, but World of Warcraft subscriber base more than quadruples what SOE has in total. As you can see SOE is accepting the new trend and making a huge load of profit, I'm sure Blizzard would follow up on the idea as well. EverQuest was the first mmorpg hit ever, Blizzard known for their real time strategy games now has the most popular mmorpg as well. I wouldn't see why they won't follow and collect some of the cash themselves. Overall, although we do not know of Blizzards intentions for those who buys WoW gold, I can say for sure that I do not know a single person who has gotten their accounts banned for buying WoW gold. Please understand that this article is only a matter of opinion and I hold no responsiblity to your actions. If you are interested in purchasing wow gold, visit http://www.buyingwowgold.com/.

The Non-Job Option . . . Is It Time To Do Something Really Different?

Description:

The fantastic advancement in internet technology now allows you to manage an online business virtually hands-free.

Content:

You're busy looking for a new job. But, maybe it's time to consider the non-job option! Look, there stirs within all us a thrill at the idea of working for ourselves.

1. Not having to report to someone else.

2. Pocketing all the money we earn exclusively for our own account.

3. Being in charge.

4. Setting our own schedule.

5. Working from home in our pajamas.

The problem is . . . what can I do to make money that's consistent with my lifestyle? What is my non-job option?

First, don't be sucked in by get rich schemes. There are plenty of them around and they don't work . . . at least not in the way you expect. If you want to work for yourself you have to be prepared to WORK! There is no fast track to wealth.

On the other hand, there are some excellent top-rated programs that have proven track records. Most of these advise you to take advantage of your computer. The reason is that you already have a substantial investment in a tool that can be generating income for you.

The other non-job option observation is that the place to be these days for earning a welcome income (part-time or full-time) is on the internet. The fantastic growth in internet technology now allows you to manage an online business virtually hands-free. Once you're set up and running, a high-quality home-based interest business works for you 24/7.

These are exciting times because the advancement in online business technology assists you in getting started very quickly without a major investment--unlike offline businesses which require lots of overhead investment before you even get started.

So, this may be the time for you to do something really different . . . follow a non-job option. But examine these opportunities very carefully. Don't jump in just because the pitch gets you excited. Take the time to check several home-based internet businesses to see which ones are consistent with your interests.

And then choose one that offers multiple income streams. In other words, the same work and investment you put in can generate income for several sources simultaneously.

That's working smart and productively!

When you take a careful, constructive approach to a non-job option, you will find that there some amazing opportunities that can supplement you current income. Or possibly, in time, become your sole source of income. Whichever way you go, there are more unique opportunities right now that in the whole history of the internet.

And you can be confident that if you select a business plan that's doing a good job of generating income for others, chances are very good it will do the same for you!

Accounts Receivable Financing: Exporting Green Products

Description:

Accounts Receivable Financing: Exporting Green Products explores financing for a cleaner environment with green technology products for export from the USA to foreign markets.

Content:

Financing clean technology exports with bank financing, support from the U.S. Ex-Im Bank, and various forms of guarantees and insurance can grow your business, combat global warming and improve our environment.

What is the U.S. Ex-Im Bank?

The U.S. Ex-Im Bank is an independent agency of the U.S. government. It was established in 1934 to finance the export sales of goods and services produced in the USA. Since 1934 it has supported over $450 Billion in exports. The Ex-Im Bank supports short, medium, and long term financing to creditworthy international customers both in the public and private sectors. It provides working capital guarantees to USA exporters. Products include Direct Loans, Guarantees, Export Credit Insurance, and Working capital Guarantees. There are special initiatives of environmental exports.

What is the U.S. Ex-Im Bank Environmental Exports Program?

It provides support for environmentally beneficial exports mandated in their charter. It is a pro-active business development and enhancement to existing programs. It provides long-term loans and guarantees of 10-15 years after project completion. Repayment terms of 15 years are available for renewable energy and water treatment projects. Interest may be capitalized during construction. During the past decade, environmental export funding has increased from $13 million per year to over $2 Billion per year.

What is the Guaranteed Loan Program?

Guaranteed loans are made by commercial banks (U.S. or Foreign banks) to a foreign buyer with a 100% unconditional repayment guarantee form the Ex-Im Bank. The guarantee covers 85% of the U.S. content of the transaction. Banks often finance the 15% required cash payment. The guarantee is available in major foreign currencies.

What can the Ex-Im Bank do for small projects?

The Ex-Im Bank makes credits decisions about potential projects in several ways: based strictly on the balance sheet of the borrower or guarantor; and also as limited recourse project finance with a special purpose company borrower and project cash flows as the source of repayment. Or, as a structured finance transaction with the borrower’s balance sheet enhanced by special Ex-Im Bank features.

What is the Ex-Im Bank working capital guarantee?

It provides a 90-100% repayment guarantee for working capital loans, revolving or transaction based, made by commercial lenders to small businesses to finance export sales. The working capital guarantee serves as the collateral to the commercial lender by mitigating the risk inherent when the source of repayment for the loan is an overseas contract. It enables exporters to finance materials, labor, and overhead to produce goods and services for export. It enables exporters to cover standby letters of credit for bid and performance bonds, or payment guarantees. It enables the exporters to finance foreign sales receivables

The working capital guarantee program may be a transaction-specific facility; or a revolving line of credit. The term is generally up to 1-year and it is renewable. The loan supports advances made against export-related inventory and foreign accounts receivables. The loan advances up to 75% on inventory and up to 90% on foreign accounts receivables.

What are the eligibility requirements for the working capital guarantee program?

Applicants must have business operations in the USA. The USA made product must have a minimum of 51% USA content. The program supports exporters who are manufacturers, trading companies and service companies. There must be a reasonable source or repayment. The company must have a minimum 1-year operating history, positive neat-worth and debt service ability.

When accepting a new job, salary negotiation is so important. You may have to consider many additional costs that may not be readily apparent to you, which the new job may demand and which are not there in your present job. The costs may or may not be quantifiable but it is important to be aware of them when thinking of salary negotiation. This article explains these issues in more detail.

The salary that you want to earn in the new job should not be a fixed figure but rather be in a range. This is because during salary negotiation of the new job the total cost involved may not be clear in the beginning. The expected figure should be disclosed to the prospective employer after fully understanding all the implications of the new job and may require to be calculated. One of the undisclosed expenses may be health insurance. The insurance policy of the new employer may require you to pay a higher amount from your pocket for each pay period whether it is weekly or bi weekly or monthly. Even if it is a small amount per pay period, an annual calculation may make it substantial.

If for instance the dress code of the new job requires you to wear a formal dress while you may be allowed to wear a casual dress in your present job, upgrading the wardrobe may cost you a tidy sum. Commuting to the workplace is another expense that you have to consider while negotiating a new job. If the place of work is at considerable distance away from your home, it may involve additional expense towards fuel and car maintenance or public transport.

Paid overtime hours is an important issue you have to consider. If your present job pays for your overtime hours and the new job requires you to be on call 24 hours, then you may be actually getting less if you divide the extra hours put in from your annual salary. Even if it is a few hour a week, it will become considerable amount when calculated for an entire year.

There are many other issues, which are sometimes called perks to consider like reimbursement of tuition expenses, flexible working hours, 401(k) contribution, on-site daycare and health clubs, company paid training, mobile phone and/or laptop computer provided by the company, paid professional membership to associations and institutes, vacation and personal holidays, car parking expenses, tax deductible expenses, and the possibility of working from home. Many of these factors are intangible benefits - one might not be able calculate them in dollar terms but depending on your situation they may be very important to you like for example the option of working from home for a mother having small kids to look after at home.

When you make a comparison of the above items with your present job, this would give you an idea of the additional expenses that you have to bear in the new job, giving you a more accurate actual take home figure and putting you in a better, more knowledgeable position while negotiating the salary for your new job.

Expert Qualities in Sales

Description:

And buy the product. Why is it that when a doctor recommends a product, people buy it without any hesitation, without talking it over with their spouse, and without asking.

Content:

If you went to see your doctor, and he mentioned a particular over the counter drug to you, or a particular type of food that was healthy, chances are, you would listen to this advice, than go out and buy the product.

Why is it that when a doctor recommends a product, people buy it without any hesitation, without talking it over with their spouse, and without asking any questions.

The main reason being, people respect and trust their doctors, they see them as experts on medical topics, even though they are not authorities on every subject.

The relationship between a doctor and patient is built on trust and developed over time, therefore a doctor doesn't have to sell anything, he simply has to recommend things, and people will buy.

Unfortunately, for sales people, it just isn't that easy. Here are a few ways you can begin to command the respect of your customers so that they will see you as an authority on the products you sell.

1. Gaining trust

Work at getting your customer to trust you. This can be hard in the beginning because you and your customer are meeting for the very first time. Start out by getting to know your customer, look for things that you might have in common. Let them know that building a relationship with them is more important to you than the products you sell.

Listen carefully to them and explain anything and everything in plain English so that they will understand. Don't be pushy, let them go at their own pace, but keep the conversation going. The more time you spend with your customer, the better, because by spending time with them, they will get know you better. When they get to know you better, they begin to trust you.

2. Product knowledge

Know your products, study them inside and out. Your customer is going to want to know what your product can do for them, how it will make their lives easier, and how it can save them money. They are not concerned about your weekly or monthly goals.

If a customer wants to know something about your product, you want to be prepared to answer, so study your products. Would you buy a product from someone who didn't know anything about the product, I wouldn't.

3. Be accessible

Always be available to your customer, give them your cellular phone number as well as your office phone number. By giving them your cell number you have just taken your first step to personalizing your business relationship. Make your customer understand that you are available to answer any questions they may have, or to discuss any concerns they may have. Keep in mind, by having them become comfortable calling you, you are giving yourself an opportunity to up sell every time they call you. Or you can just simply make them aware of any new products you have, or any new promotions going on.

Remember, building relationships is about trust. If your customers trust you, than they will do business with you. If your customer likes you and trusts you, they will most likely refer their family and friends to you.

Make it a personal goal to get to a point in the relationships you have with your customers to recommend them your products as opposed to selling them. Good luck

The thought of building an at-home business can be daunting, even for get-up-and-go types like my ex-wife. Could that be why we're exes? I'm not gonna go into it!

Even people of a slower, more laid back nature (like yours truly) can be successful online. With just a little bit of time and effort, you can build a business that allows you to set your own hours and work from home in your pj's. Isn't this the New American Dream? Hop on in, people. The water's fine!

Here's how I did it, and I don't mind if you copy me.

The first thing you need to do is set yourself up with a website. It can be as complicated as you like, coded in brilliant HTML with stacks of inter-linked web pages your visitors can surf to their heart's content. Or it can be super simple (see my website). I used Blogger to set up a blog. They make it so easy that even we Baby Boomers can do it in less than five minutes. They even give you several different "looks" to choose from, so you can be unique without knowing any code. How very nice of them, right?

Once I set up my space on Blogger, I was ready to start filling it with content. The first thing I did was a little introductory piece talking a little bit about me and my music, and explaining what I hoped to accomplish with the blog. What you do here is entirely up to you.

Next, I knew I had to start getting content circulating on the Web that would create backlinks to my site. After all, so far nobody can find me! That's where an article distribution service comes in.

Writing and mass-distributing articles is the best way to get noticed by search engines these days. The more articles you get published that include a link to your site, the more you'll become relevant during web searches for your product, service or specialty.

I use Article Marketer, because I like the personalized editorial service they offer. They also distribute my articles to hundreds of sites, from ABC Articles to Zinepublishers. They offer competitive prices on quarterly, annual and lifetime memberships -- so you can choose what's right for your business. And it's unlimited submissions, which is great, so I'm not charged for each article.

Isnare is another popular choice. They charge per article to submit, on a sliding scale from 1 to 115 articles. You pay $10 to submit five articles, right on up to $100 for 115 pieces. If you don't plan on submitting very many pieces, they might be just the ticket for you.

Another option is PhantomWriters, which charges $35 per article submission, but in return they offer all the articles they publish for free reprint. That means you can grab as many articles as you want to flesh out your blog -- even if you only pay to distribute one.

SubmitYourArticles is another popular site. They charge a flat monthly fee ($37) for four article submissions, and this might be perfect if you're going to write one article a week. It's definitely affordable on a small-business budget -- at least until you discover how prolific you are! Just kidding. Their service is definitely right for people who don't plan to do a lot of writing.

Now, you can choose any site you want -- or you can do it yourself for free (if you have the patience). My feelings won't be hurt either way, scout's honor!

Once you have signed up for a service (or not), you should set a writing budget for yourself. Some people write one or two articles a day; others write one a week. It totally depends on how much time you have to devote to your marketing venture. Then you start submitting your content, getting picked up by other sites, and BLING! There you go with more hits on your website than ever before.

I wish you luck with your new online adventure! So far, I'm having a whole lotta fun doing something that doesn't feel very much like work. I hope your experience is as good or better.

Which Half Are You?

Description:

Been paid when the Conference Board released their statistics saying half of Americans are satisfied with their job. Of course, that means, half are dissatisfied. Disliking.

Content:

When more than half of Americans were identified as overweight, people took notice. Major news outlets began educating on how to stay out, or get out, of that statistic. I wish the same attention had been paid when the Conference Board released their statistics saying half of Americans are satisfied with their job.

Of course, that means, half are dissatisfied. Disliking your job is hazardous to your health and well-being, too. You can't be winning at working if you're dissatisfied with your work or languishing in the status-quo of dislike.

Spending the majority of your waking hours dissatisfied, like being overweight, weighs you down, depletes your energy, and kidnaps your spirit. You can change all that. And looking for a new job should not be where you start. At least not yet.

First consider what is causing your dissatisfaction. Maybe it's that annoying coworker or irritating boss that's holding you back. Maybe if you only made more money. Maybe the work's boring or the company's unfair. Whatever your reasons, pause your thinking and go to step two: look deeper. More than likely what's at the root of your dissatisfaction is your own doubts, fears, and insecurities. You see, too often we become victims in our own life. We blame McDonald's for having French fries that make us fat, and blame bosses who give us substandard raises. When in fact, we control whether the French fries gets purchased and put in our mouth, or we do the quality of work that meets the performance standards for a higher raise. It's a choice. And choices bring accountability. It's easier to believe you're a victim of circumstances than a driver of your own future. But, this easier choice comes at a price: dissatisfaction.

The harder choice comes with a price too: personal accountability. That means when you're running an obstacle course and discover you're the obstacle, you correct your thinking, enhance your skills, and persist through your fears. It means, if you don't get the raise, the promotion, or the more interesting work, you look in the mirror first.

Sure, in the end, you may determine you need to change jobs or environments. Just be sure it's the job you're dissatisfied with, or you may find the same irritating co-workers and unfair bosses (with different names, of course) waiting for you in the new job. People who are winning at working don't see themselves as victims. They know the choices they make have consequences and payoffs. And while fears, self-doubts and insecurities may stall their progress, challenge their courage, and test their persistence, it doesn't stop them.

It's not easy to move through your fears, build your self-esteem or change your negative self-talk. But few things in life worth having are easy. People who are winning at working do the hard self-work. They're unwilling to let their fears, doubts and insecurities orchestrate the outcome of their lives, at work or at home. To them, the biggest dissatisfaction would be wondering about the person they could have been. Want to be winning at working? No one is stopping you, but you.

Writing Up A Yearly Business Plan

Description:

You'll need to write up a business plan every year to remain successful

Content:

It's important to have a serious business plan for your business each year so that you can see what your needs are for the coming year and to show yourself and the bank how far you have progressed since your original business plan was written.

A new business writes a business plan in order to show their intentions to operate and to provide information to financial institutions in support of start up capital and funding for other operations. In most cases, the banks want to see three to five year projections showing your intention for the funding. Depending on the scope of the business, they may only finance the first year, and will want additional proof that the business is progressing along the terms of the original business plan before they will advance any more funds.

Since you are not able to really show much in the way of financial records, having a business plan also shows potential creditors what you anticipate for the future of your business. They can then compare this to your original plan to verify if you are moving along as planned. They do not want to be stuck with an uncollectible loan by advancing funds to a business that has no potential of becoming successful. Even if you are a little behind your original projections, they are able to see if the potential is there for improvement, and may even make suggestions for helping you reach your original goals.

On the other hand, if your progress is way behind original projections, that can be a sign that your business is failing, so it's likely that you will not receive any more funding until you can prove the business is on its way to profitability.

It's normal for any business to take three to five years to turn a profit, but if you aren't showing improvement, that is an area for concern. As you enter into your second year, you should be showing less of a loss and more of a profit even if you don't yet show a net gain in income. Even if you aren't looking for additional funding, you should look at this as a warning sign and start making some changes so that you can your business what you originally intended. It may mean your prices are too low, or your expenses are excessive for the amount of business you have and need to be cut. For instance, if you are selling products from a website, investigate what others are charging for the same type of items to see if you are in line with the industry standard in pricing. If you sell services, find out what others are charging for the same service maybe your prices are too high, and thus people are going elsewhere for the same service. In reality, these should have been checked first, but some people in their haste to begin a business forget the most important step of price comparison.
